Track you pregnancy

You'll come to consider MomToBe's Journal  a sort of interactive What to Expect When You're Expecting. It's a tool for keeping track of those nine months, both for medical and sentimental reasons. Trying to get pregnant? Start with the Basal Body Temperature Chart. From there, it's on to the Due Date Calculator, and then the weekly calendar, where you can track your checkups as the program tells you what's going on inside your body.

MomToBe's Journal : Computerized Pregnancy Assistant offers a range of tools for each stage of a woman's pregnancy. For example, the program offers a week-by-week summary that provides guidelines about what a woman can expect and what she should do during a given week of her pregnancy. The program also lets the expectant mom enter important dates and information in a diary like calendar. Among other useful tools, MomToBe's Journal  offers a basal thermometer chart that can be maintained on the computer or printed out and kept at the bedside for manual charting. MomToBe's Journal  even contains information from the Chinese Sex Determination Calendar. This demo version is missing most pregnancy information and cannot save the BBT charting information.

. . . a great resource for women who either want to become pregnant or are expecting a baby.

Review from a Mother of Six

I've been working with your program for about a week now and thought I would write and let you know how it's going. First of all, thank you so much for allowing me to help test this program. I've had a lot of fun with it. Next, regarding the registration process; the only problem I encountered was that the program wouldn't register if I simply tried to copy and paste the registration number in the blank. After I physically typed it in, though it worked fine.

My favorite part of the program is the weekly information given with regard to how far along the pregnancy has gone. Not only the info. regarding the child's weekly stats; i.e., weight, length, etc... but especially found the helpful reminders for "mom" to be informative and helpful. For a mom with many young children, having the ability to schedule appts and be reminded of the uniqueness of this particular pregnancy has been wonderful. Sometimes after having been through this so often in the past, you can lose track of the wonder and excitement of each pregnancy milestone and wish later you had been more mindful of such things.

Regarding your question as to what I "hated" the most; I haven't found any part of the program worthy of such strong disdain. It would be nice if the monthly reports were a bit larger and easier to read on the screen, but that's the only thing I could imagine changing at least for now.

If I can think of anything else that might be of help or encounter any other situations which you should be aware, I'll be sure to let you know. If you have any other specific questions regarding my experiences with this program please feel free to ask.

Review from a Expecting to Expect Discussion group on ParentSoup # 1

My review of MomToBe's Journal .

The program opens up with a very
nice diary-like calendar that goes week-by-week. Since I am already pregnant, I set MomToBe's Journal 's stage to "I am pregnant". Wow, a huge help screen appear and it contained information for the current week. And as I changed weeks the Help information change right along with it. Very nice effect.

The help information contains information about what I should be doing this week and information about the baby growing inside me like it size and weight. And as I clicked to the weeks near my due date there was even jokes about pregnancy.

I put in all my doctor appointments and it was very easy to do. There is a Basal Body Temperature chart that look daunting at first but is quite easy once you get used to it. A minor point but the colors (Baby blue and pinks) used in the program are very attractive. My husbands software all seem to be a dull gray.

A major point is it is software for a woman.
Which is nice because I finally got to buy software. Usually my husband makes all the software choices. But since I am pregnant I figure I am worth it.

Wow! Thanks for the review! I looked at their site and I noticed that they even have software for people like me who are "planning for pregnancy"--I thought that was neat.

I know just what you mean about finally finding software for women! Now that you mention it, I don't have any software of my own. Was this software very expensive?

I also have tried out the mom-to-be software thanks for asking and it is great I am going to get a registered copy of it. It is so good to network. *smile*
